Kone-Tuomi Oy is a Finnish family-owned contract machine workshop founded in 1945, with over 80 years of experience in heavy and medium-heavy machining. Our two production facilities are located in Turku and Kauttua (Eura), both with excellent transport connections via road and port.

Our Turku workshop operates in 3,200 m² of production space, while the Kauttua facility covers 4,300 m² following its latest expansion. Together, we employ approximately 65 skilled machinists and engineers. Our machine fleet includes around 30 CNC-controlled machine tools, and we invest continuously in the latest technology to maintain the highest standards of precision and efficiency.


Our clientele consists primarily of leading Finnish export companies in the diesel engine, elevator, paper machine, pump, offshore, and sawmill industries. We serve both domestic and international customers who require demanding, precision-critical machining with reliable delivery schedules.

Services

We provide a comprehensive range of machining services from single pieces to small series production. Our core capabilities include CNC boring (horizontal boring mills with spindle diameters of 110–150 mm and travel up to 13,000 × 6,000 × 4,000 mm), CNC turning (lathes up to Ø1,600 × 15,000 mm, vertical turning lathes up to Ø2,900 mm), milling (travel up to 16,000 × 4,000 × 2,000 mm), cylindrical grinding, planing, roll manufacturing and maintenance, dynamic balancing, and thermal spraying. We also provide mechanical maintenance and repair services for industrial equipment.

Quality and Certifications

Our operations are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, ensuring consistent quality and environmentally responsible manufacturing. We use Trimos precision measuring instruments and AutoCAD/Mastercam 3D software for programming and design. Every component is inspected to meet the required tolerances before delivery.
